The last look for this wool vest is today’s styling for a casual weekend look–my favorite piece of the January featured items. I continue to emphasize that this vest is hands-down one of the absolute best pieces in my entire wardrobe. I feel like, no matter how I style it, it always looks effortlessly chic–and I can’t get enough of it.
Wool Vest Styled for the Weekend
For most of us, the office is where we’re spending the majority of our time, so it makes sense to invest in clothes for work. However, if you can find a piece that works for both work and weekend, well then, you’ve gotten your money’s worth. I think this particular piece is a great wardrobe staple in that it will take any weekend look up a notch. It just looks put together, never lazy.
One of the comments I hear a lot is that people want to look put together, even while running weekend errands, or shopping, or taking kids to practices. This vest is such a great piece for all of those events because it always looks chic while being 100% comfortable and easy.
Here are a few ways you can style it for the weekend:
- With a cable knit sweater dress and knee high riding boots
- With skinny jeans, a graphic t-shirt, and converse sneakers
- With boyfriend jeans, a fitted turtleneck top, and heeled booties
Like I said yesterday, I could do an entire month focused on this vest, and the many ways to wear it. And I may be talking it up a lot but that’s only because I love it so. darn. much.
Today’s look is the last of the three options above, and with the weather as cold as it had been for the last few weeks, I needed layers underneath that would keep me warm. A turtleneck and some sock booties do a great job of concealing skin from the cold when temperatures are frigid. I prefer boyfriend jeans that aren’t overly baggy because of my small frame; it can be too overwhelming otherwise.
