Thinking about packing up all of your cute tank dresses from your summer wardrobe? Well don’t do it just yet! There’s a simple way to get a few extra wears out of your summer favorites–and that is to layer them with heavier knits and longer sleeves.
This spaghetti strap midi dress (which I purchased years ago from Old Navy) is on constant rotation during the summer, mainly because it’s so easy to slip on for a one-and-done outfit AND it’s comfortable. There’s not much more a girl could ask for in her weekend attire.
For the cooler weather we’ve recently had in Pittsburgh, I added this mockneck sweater t-shirt over top and it created just enough warmth for the seasonal fall temperatures. Though I threw this look together with a pair of ankle boots, I would absolutely pair it with my converse sneakers t run around in total comfort.
Bump or not, tying up a t-shirt overtop creates a cute layering effect without making you look too boxy. You’ll want to tie it right at or just above the waist to create that hourglass shape we women love.
Now you can go revel in the fact that you get another month out of your summer favorites!
