This J.Crew Factory Striped Gauze Boy Shirt is under $25 (also love this one and this one, and it’s made of a lightweight linen fabric. I like the look of it paired with the white shorts, but it would also be a nice cover-up for pool or beach days. These shorts are from a year or two ago, but these J.Crew Factory 3″ chino shorts (under $20!) look to be the same ones. I’ve said before, my biggest qualm with these is that they are definitely wrinkle-prone, but they still work okay. Also, with the top and bottom of this outfit coming in right around $45, working in your high-end staples (sunglasses, shoes and handbag) makes this an affordable look.
My wedges are so old. I think I ordered them from Victoria’s Secret when I was in college (during which time I was obsessed with Victoria’s Secret clothes), but I love this J.Crew Factory Suede Demi-Wedge Sandal. They are a bit lower, but I think they are the perfect summer shoe–on my wish list as an eventual purchase when I can save up for them; they are currently on sale for just about $60.
Also, I FINALLY found a pair of Ray Ban aviators that I am happy with and fit my face! I’ve been looking for forever! The guy at the store was so helpful. He brought me their smallest frame–the 55 mm–and I’m so happy with them. You can currently buy two pairs and save $40 at Macys.
For my phone, wallet and necessary essentials (like my MAC Lipstick in Candy Yum Yum), I’m wearing the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac (on sale for $130!). The tassels can be easily removed and the handle is also detachable for use as a clutch. I’ve also seen great knock-off versions of this and other small bags at Target–check there for a similar look on a budget!
What do you guys think of this look? Would you try it out this summer?
