The Sephora Spring Beauty Insider Sale has officially launched, and this is a great time to stock up on tried-and-true favorites or to try out new products you’ve been eyeing. I have always been a big Sephora fan, and have been trying more of their Clean at Sephora beauty products as I’m working to transition my makeup and skincare to toxin-free products.
The Sephora Beauty Insider Sale
What is a Beauty Insider and How to Join
In order to shop the sale, you have to sign up with Sephora’s Beauty Insider program. It’s a completely free-to-you rewards program that allows you to accumulate points on each purchase that you make at Sephora, Sephora.com, or Sephora Inside JCPenney. If you’re not already a Beauty Insider, you can see the full list of perks and sign up by clicking the button below. As someone who has been a Beauty Insider for years, I can say that it’s absolutely worth signing up, even if you only purchase a few items a year. If nothing else, you’ll at least score an awesome birthday gift each year!
How to Shop the Sephora Beauty Insider Sale
The sale is broken down by tiers, based on which level Beauty Insider you are. These levels are based on how much you spend at Sephora over the course of the year. If you’re a Rouge member (the highest level), you will receive 20% off your purchase + free shipping, VIBs will receive 15% off their purchases, and Insiders will receive 10% off their purchase. For luxury products that rarely go on sale, any discount off of these products is good for me!

My Picks for the Spring 2021 Sephora Beauty Insider Sale
As a loyal Sephora shopper for years, I have my own list of tried-and-true favorites but I think this sale is especially great for stocking up on skincare. I’m generally one to enjoy trying out new makeup products once I finish something, but I tend to stick to skincare products once I find something that’s working for me. Here are a few of my personal recommendations…
Daily Skincare & Sunscreen
I have been using Drunk Elephant skincare, almost exclusively, since the birth of my daughter in 2019. I wanted to ensure I was using toxin-free products that were safe during our breastfeeding journey, and Drunk Elephant became a quick favorite.
My hero products are the Virgin Marula Oil and D-Bronzi drops, which I combine with the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen (protection again sun and bluelight).
If you want to try Drunk Elephant, I recommend starting out with “the Littles” set. This allows you to try the full line without the investment of the full-size products.
If you’re on my email list, then you’ve probably already heard me talking about Merit, a new clean beauty brand by Who What Wear co-founder, Katherine Power.
With a new baby on the way, I wanted to add some simple no-fuss products to my makeup collection that I could throw on in 5 minutes. I ended up with Merit’s Minimalist foundation and concealer stick and am very happy with the consistency/staying power of this product. I add a little under the eyes, corners of my nose, and on any blemishes.
A quick dab of the milk blush or bronzer (usually one or the other), mascara, and a swipe of brow gel makes for a quick and easy beauty routine that still lets me feel like myself. I’m also very much obsessed with these fresh lip treatments (a longtime favorite of mine), but steer clear of them if I’m wearing a mask.
I like to end the weekend and prep for the week ahead with a little pampering. For this, I’ve been using the Summer Fridays Overtime Mask for a gentle exfoliator, followed by the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask for added moisture. Depending on my mood, I alternate the above with a PMD microdermabrasion, followed by a sheet mask, and a DIY manicure–it really just depends on how much time I’m willing to commit.
What’s In My Cart
Knowing that post-partum hair loss is on the horizon, I picked up the Living Proof thickening shampoo and conditioner to see if it can provide some relief.
I also grabbed the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm after trying and loving a sample. This is a great product for gently removing makeup. It’s clean, has a great subtle scent, and doesn’t irritate my skin at all.
Last, I’m trying the Ilia Gel Eyeliner. I don’t wear eyeliner too often but sometimes I want a little more definition than just mascara. There weren’t many clean options, but this one has good reviews, so I’m anxious to try it out.
