I’m a fashion blogger, and it’s fall, so I think that means I’m supposed to go apple-picking and then post pictures of it, right?
Aside from the fact that this is possibly the most basic fall activity, I actually do enjoy the country scenery and the opportunity to photograph it. This isn’t the first you’ve seen my visits to Simmons Farm (see here and here); this hidden gem is only 40 minutes from the city and a wonderful way to take in autumn’s natural beauty. During the fall, they offer so many fun activities for kids (we watched some tractor tire and giant slide races in between photos). You can take a hayride to the orchards or around the farm; it’s a really pretty way to see the changing leaves.
No part of this outfit is new (does that make me a bad blogger?), but I did my best to link similar pieces for you below. This corduroy skirt is from J.Crew last fall, and I am utterly obsessed with it. It’s one of my favorite pieces in my closet (do I say that in every post?), and you last saw this whole look here. I know that they sold it in several colors last year, and a part of me is hoping they come out with a similar style again this year. I’ll keep my eyes open for you guys. The sweater is the classic J.Crew tippi sweater, which is available year round in different colors and patterns. It doesn’t make sense to wear anything other than flats if you’re apple-picking so opt for your favorite boots, sneakers, or topsiders. You’ll be bummed if you ruin a pair of cute booties or heels. Of course I’m also wearing my favorite Vera Bradley backpack, because it’s honestly the most practical bag for me to tote around my camera. The rich chocolate brown is so pretty for fall; I find myself reaching for it with every outfit (which you may have noticed). Anyway, I’ve linked all of my outfit details for you below, scroll to the bottom to shop.
Are you guys apple-picking this fall, too?
