Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Last Call + What I Bought

The best sale of the year concludes this week, at which point the best of fall’s newest items will go back to full retail price. The last day of the sale is August 6 (Sunday), so take advantage while you can this week and stock up on these awesome deals.

All of my favorite picks are linked here, but today I’m also sharing with you what I bought. I typically do my shopping online, so once everything delivered, and I sorted through it, I settled on the following few pieces to add to my fall/winter wardrobe.

  1. Nike slide-on sneakers

These Nike sneakers are incredibly comfortable, and the tan color will be the perfect complement to fall’s muted and earthy tones. They almost remind me of my old Sperry’s with the comfort level, a much more cushioned alternative to my Converse ballet sneakers.

  2. Dr. Dennis Gross Peels

I’m not kidding when I say I wait for this sale every year to stock up on these. The supply lasts me a full year, since I do try to do savor them throughout the year, using them every few days (though they can be used daily).

  3. Scallop Dress &

  4. Cold Shoulder Dress

I made a list going into this sale with what I was hoping to find. Topping the list was a few dresses that I could wear to work, and these two are on-trend but also conservative enough for the office. I always wanted to branch out from the all-black dresses that I usually wear to work. I’m very happy with these alternatives.

  5. BP Slides

I’m pretty sure that every single blogger picked up this pair of shoes. Slides have made a major comeback this past year, and this grey pair will be the perfect wear now-wear later color to transition into fall.

  6. Romper

You guys already know how much I love this romper. At under $40, I consider it a must-have. I cannot wait to wear this for dinner with friends at the end of the month!

  7. The North Face Rain Coat (check stores!)

I bought this during last year’s sale and returned it because I thought it was too big. I regretted it so. many. times throughout the year. It rains a lot in Pittsburgh and, as much as I love my trench coat, I need something with a hood while I’m walking to work. I pulled the trigger and got it this year. I think the fit is perfect (not sure if they changed it from last year) aside from the sleeve length. I wore it this past weekend and just rolled them up. If it really bothered you, a tailor could easily hem the sleeves, but they’ll be just find rolled up for me.

If you are looking for a nice rain jacket I would suggest trying the REI co-op la selva rain jacket. I had a chance to try this on in store and the xs is perfect for petite girls and the sleeves are the appropriate length! The waist even has a belt. I’ve been holding out to buy it with coupons, but the green color is currently on sale. In the past I’ve tried to buy north face rain jackets and always have problems with the sleeves being too long also.
