My Must-Have Fall Staple

I’m sure it comes as no surprise to many of you, but my fall wardrobe is shaping up to contain fifteen versions of one item:

white sweaters.

My affinity for white goes beyond summer dresses. It has worked its way into every category of my wardrobe. You know why? Because it flatters my skin tone and goes with everything. That’s where my justification ends.

Today’s sweater is from Madewell. It’s incredibly soft, and the fringe detailing is the extra touch that I look for in new pieces. For these cooler fall days (like last weekend’s 50 degrees!), chunky knit sweaters are perfect for cozying up in to stay warm. The length of the sweater is long enough for wearing with leggings, or layering over a boyfriend style button-up shirt. I purchased this one in a size up from my usual (an XS instead of the XXS) because I wanted to wear it more oversized. When it comes to cozy sweaters, I think they’re always better with some extra room!

These jeans are my all-time favorites from Madewell. I wear them with nearly everything. You know how you can break in a pair of jeans so well that they just fit you perfectly every time? That’s these. The current styles come with a higher waist, which I love equally as much. In fact, I adore the color of this pair; they would compliment the richer colors of fall so well.

My fall uniform is set: oversized cozy sweater + broken-in jeans

When the cool weather rolls in, I’ll take all the comfy sweaters and PSLs the world has to offer. I do realize that makes me completely basic, and I have accepted this idea. Who else out there turns totally basic every time fall rolls around?
