If there’s one pair of pants that I cannot get enough of this fall, it’s these military green cargo pants.
You may be asking, “What’s so great about them?”
Well. Where should I start?
First, they go with everything. Stripes, camo, chambray, cozy knits–whatever fabrics and prints you’re wearing this fall, these guys are the perfect compliment to those earthy fall tones. In fact, they come in three neutral and highly versatile colors (in case you’re not sold on the military green) that are all equally great. Secondly, this particular pair comes in petite sizing (shout out to my short sisters!). Third, they are insanely comfortable. Like, I-would-wear-these-to-bed comfortable.
This weekend, I spent all of Saturday running errands around town in them and I might as well have been wearing my favorite pair of leggings. The cotton fabric is so soft-– that characteristic stands out to me the most.
Let’s talk fit.
- These are meant to hit slightly above the hip, so they have more of a high-rise feel. I’m usually not too crazy about high-rises (having such a short torso already), but I was pleasantly surprised that this particular pair did not make my waist look like it was two inches long.
- My one complaint (which only applies to those of you whose waists are also much smaller than your hips) was that I had some gapping in the waist in order for them to fit my hip/thigh area. This is honestly not an uncommon problem for me, so at this point I’m used to it. A trip to the tailor could solve this problem by taking them in at the back seam.
- They are ankle-length which means that the hem will fall about an inch or two from the bottom of your ankles. I think this is very flattering, even on petite women, and often roll my pants to this length anyway. It’s nice that the petite-sizing allows these to fall right where they belong.
