Today’s post features my favorite Madewell jeans and sweater, both currently on sale!
Madewell 8″ Skinny Jeans in Pure White
These jeans are a tried-and-true favorite of mine, the 8″ Skinny Jeans in pure white. You can order them today for $80, originally $115. I have been very happy with my Madewell jeans in black and the destroyed denim. Both pairs have held their shape very well, instead of stretching out like some of the more inexpensive brands I’ve tried. For as often as these are worn, they are worth the price tag.
Madewell Colorblock Short-Sleeve Sweater
This sweater is also on sale marked down from $70 to $50. It’s made of a heavy material, with a high-low cut to camouflage the back side–always a plus for me.
All other outfit details are linked below, and similar versions of items no longer available.
A little side story…
If there’s one time period I love most for its fashion, it’s the 60s. From the earlier part of the decade with pleated midi skirts and bouffant hair, to later years of mini length sheath dresses, I love it all. I think of my grandma and how I could count on one hand the number of times I saw her wearing pants instead of a skirt or dress. In those days, women dressed like ladies, a concept I love.
The neck scarves that have made their way back onto the scene make me think of her and the scarves she wore over her hair. At the time my sister and I, maybe only six or seven years old, thought it was so funny when she wore her “babushka;” it always made us giggle. Today’s outfit makes me think of those days, and the reason I happily welcome scarves into my wardrobe.
I hope you’re all having a happy Tuesday, and settling into the week now that you already have Monday under your belt.
Thank you for reading; let’s catch up again soon!
