Lauren’s Picks: Summer Beauty

Summer Beauty-2Summer Beauty
Summer is all about effortless beauty. Creating a glowing look that’s not too overdone is the way to go.

I’ve been starting my daily look with the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream to combine sun protection with a bit of coverage. I like the light-weight formula of this gel cream, especially during the summer months–anything too heavy or cakey feels uncomfortable in the heat. For spots or undereye circles, I use the  MAC Studio Conceal and Correct Palette; the mix of colors gives me flexibility to use darker colors as my skin tans.

To warm up my look and create some contour, I dust the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder just under my cheekbones with the Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush, and then use my fingers to dab NARS The Multiple on the apples of my cheeks for highlight.

To keep the eyes simple, I line with Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick (this can be blended into a smokey eye for nighttime, too) and then coat my lashes with two coats of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (seriously, the best mascara I’ve ever used)! Then, finish the look with a swipe of the bareMinerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil Balm for a bit of color and moisturizer.

Are you using any of these products? What’s your summer beauty routine? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
