Once March hits, it’s hard (for me at least) to want to wear anything other than florals. And, since this dress was such a favorite for all of us last year, I was super excited to see the style come back in a blouse one year later. The best part? At $51, it’s totally affordable–even more so if you score it on sale.
How to Wear It On the Weekend
I love the way this heavy pair of black jeans pairs against the lightweight cotton of this floral blouse. And, in Pittsburgh at springtime, there’s no leaving the house without a trench coat to protect against some inevitable showers. Being so short but wanting to wear flat shoes for comfort, I always find the best option to be a nude color, able to blend in with the natural line of my leg. It’s the simplest way to elongate a shorter leg.
How to Wear It To The Office
Swapping out your weekend pieces to transition to an office-friendly look takes only a minute. Change your jeans for a pair of black trousers, and your flats for a classic pump (bonus if you print-mix with leopard!). If you’re commute is like mine, you’ll need a bag big enough to fit your lunch and a (of course) your daily planner. And honestly–that. is. it. It doesn’t take much when you’ve got a really great staple, versatile enough for just about anything.
I was honestly thrilled when I saw this blouse and, after purchasing the dress last year, was familiar enough with the fit. I must say that–for petite ladies–it runs long in the arms. That said, I think it’s absolutely adorable, and rolling the sleeves is a quick fix to making it work for a smaller frame. Let me know if you love it as much as I do in your comments below!
