2 Ways to Style High Waisted Skinny Jeans

I saved the best for last for the February features; these distressed denim boyfriend jeans are one of my absolute favorite wardrobe pieces. Despite the fact that these aren’t work-friendly, I always feel like such a cool girl when I put them on—and trust me, I’m not at all cool. I purchased them Revolve, thrilled that they came in petite sizing (a rare find for designer denim). I eyed them for a long while before pulling the trigger, and they’ve become a tried-and-true staples ever since.

Before You Buy

Reading the reviews on these jeans helped me to decide on the size before pressing the trigger. I purchased them in one size down than my usual, based on the reviews saying that they will stretch. I will say that I was worried at first–thinking they were going to be tight. Remembering that it said they took some time to break in, I remained patient through several wears. I can now say that the smaller size was the right choice, but it probably took me a good 10+ wears to really feel like they were comfortable. Now, they are my all-time favorite jeans and I can’t get enough of pairing them with just about anything.

Casual Comfort

When I’m bopping around town, just having a low-key day, I want a cotton t-shirt and jeans. Nothing else will do. I’ve been wearing the heck out of this “tres chic” tee (which you may remember from this post and this post), but any graphic tee will do. There’s just something about a t-shirt that’s a little more than basic–though, don’t get me wrong, I love a good v-neck white tee (who doesn’t?).

Converse sneakers, a military jacket, and backpack are the best companions to top off this weekend casual look.

Minimalist Chic

Okay guys, this look–this one right here–is my favorite thing to wear. First of all, I love how easy it is: simple black turtleneck, great pair of denim, and some chic pointed toe booties to take it to the next level. Oversized sunglasses, give it that chic “it” girl vibe, and it doesn’t get much better. I wore this to our Christmas charity event, and I remember telling Arnie that there are so many times where I overthink my outfits, but I always feel the best in simple. (Again–I look way cooler than I am wearing this outfit!)

I wish I was able to bring you guys three looks on these jeans, because I really do love them so much. Sadly, the weekend was just much too busy for us, and I was lucky to sneak in these few photos! I’ll be back later this week!

Pin it for later!
