Did you know that the most flattering article of clothing for every woman is a dress? Think of the number of times you’ve seen pants on the red carpet, compared to the number of dresses. That’s why when you can find great dresses at affordable–maybe even laughable–prices, you don’t pass it up.
I had picked up this tee dress at Old Navy earlier in the spring, and wore it at least once a week all summer long. I thought I would give the store another chance for the fall and winter season since Old Navy is a great option for on-trend clothing at affordable prices.
I found this floral swing dress on sale for $15, and available in petite (and tall!) sizes, and immediately knew it would be a nice work-to-weekend option. Friday night, for a date night in the Lawrenceville (read: hipster) neighborhood of Pittsburgh, I paired it with suede knee high boots and this ruffle vest for added texture. It was only slightly chilly–it was actually a beautiful weekend in Pittsburgh–so I didn’t need tights. In colder temperatures, adding opaque black tights and ankle booties would complement this dress as well.
I wanted to add a few long sleeve dresses to my wardrobe for the fall and winter months, so in addition to this floral swing dress, I also picked up this sweatshirt dress. I’ll be sharing that look with you later this week. For now though, you can shop this entire look (minus the vest) at the bottom of this post.
Happy Monday to you all, thank you for reading!
