Flannel and suede are two absolute must-haves when it comes to fall fashion, and this is an ultra-feminine take on the classic seasonal combination.
BOW NECK FLANNEL
You may remember my flannel top from this post; the color palette is absolutely perfect for all things fall. And, honestly, if you’re not one for bright holiday reds, then this color scheme would also translate well for the Christmas season, with it’s deep berry and green.
Suede mini skirts are just about everywhere this year, which is wonderful because they are so chic with knee-high boots, your favorite Converse sneakers and even a pair of classic mary jane pumps. (My shoes are so old that they are literally starting to fall apart and I absolutely refuse to get rid of them. I’ve had them for at least 10 years, and they are one of my all-time favorites.)
WAYS TO STYLE IT
- Work – The look below is one I would actually wear to work. Since I bought this mini skirt in a regular size, it’s just-above-the-knee length is right at the edge of office-appropriate.
- Casual – I’m already planning on wearing this suede skirt with a cozy, white (of course) sweater and a pair of ankle booties. Stay tuned because I’m chomping at the bit to photograph that look for you guys!
- Dressy – I still love the look of this mini skirt with a chic black turtleneck (see it styled here), and this flannel would be adorable paired with a leather moto jacket, black jeans and a pair of strappy heeled sandals.
