Well, you guys, it’s about that time. Our hot summer days seem to be dwindling, and it no longer feels appropriate to be wearing pastel summer dresses. That said, I’ve slowly been finalizing my fall capsule wardrobe and, since one of the first steps in preparing a new capsule wardrobe is determining the color palette, today I’m sharing my fall color palette with you:
Color Palette for your Fall Capsule Wardrobe:
As you can see, this season’s capsule wardrobe will be primarily black, white and grey but I also have a good mix of navy, brown and beige. And to add contrast, I also have one or two pops of red, tan and olive in prints like plaid, camouflage and tweed. This should allow for plenty of mixing and matching, and enough flexibility to keep outfits interesting.
I’ll be sharing the full Fall capsule wardrobe as well as some of my looks in the coming weeks. I’ve been a little under the weather with the seasons changing, but I promise it’s coming soon!
Creating your own Fall wardrobe capsule?
A good rule of thumb for creating a wardrobe color palette is to determine 2-3 primary colors, 2-3 secondary colors and 2-3 accent colors from a collection of neutrals, nearly neutrals and statement colors.
Still not sure where to start with your Capsule Wardrobe?

Love these colors! I’m all about olive tones this year haha
You said it, sister! It looks great with a wine lip color for the fall season. Can you believe we’re already ending September? Where did THAT month go?!
