Finally, fall has arrived, and, in true Pittsburgh fashion, it’s not just a little bit cold, it. is. freezing. I am not complaining–don’t get me wrong–I love this cooler weather and the opportunity to snuggle up in some seriously cozy layers.
If you follow along with me over on Instagram, then you know I had a family getaway to Deep Creek Lake last weekend. It’s the perfect place to visit during the fall months. The autumn leaves were at their peak, and the weather was cool and crisp–perfect for having coffee, curled up in a blanket, while sitting on the deck. The sunrise over the lake was everything; I could very easily get used to that view!
ZIP-UP CARDIGAN SWEATER
I barely took this sweater off this weekend. It’s a great length for wearing with leggings, plus it’s super soft and warm. I wore it with these jeans and a simple long sleeved white t-shirt. It’s one of those pieces that is nice to have because, even if you’re wearing leggings, it looks more dressed up than a simple hoodie or sweatshirt.
SIZING, FIT & QUALITY
This sweater is heavy enough that, in order to maintain it’s shape, it needs to be stored folded on a shelf. The fabric is too fragile and will be prone to stretching if not taken care of. Aside from that, again, it’s made of a very soft cotton thread, not at all itchy. I had it on with a short-sleeved v-neck and did not experience any irritation which is more common with wool sweaters.
