Despite how much I love to dress up, when the weekend rolls around I’m usually looking for comfort above all else. You’ll likely find me wrapped up in a sweatshirt like this one–a little oversized and a lot cozy. I know that both this sweatshirt and these denim shorts are going to be on high rotation this summer. Errands, baseball games, cookouts, and summer picnics will all be opportunities to get another wear out of these pieces (Lord knows I need to attend a few of those things with those pasty white legs–sheesh).

These denim shorts from J.Crew Factory are 4 1/4″ long, or 3 1/4″ when cuffed. From a petite perspective, I prefer them cuffed. Otherwise, the longer length makes the leg appear shorter. I also tried on this pair but (even in the same size) they ran way too large, and were practically sagging off of me–not a flattering choice for a petite woman.

The striped sweatshirt comes in two colors (white/grey stripes and white/baby blue stripes). There’s also a similar option in red. I’m not a huge fan of myself in red, but the sweatshirt is a soft cotton, a nice comfortable option for those of you with red in your color palette. :)

Since my wardrobe is largely office appropriate, it was nice to pick up some new casual pieces. And, like I said, I know these pieces will get their fair share of wear. I am also looking into a few of these tees that are relatively neutral and comfortable to throw on for a quick casual look.

Arnie and I have a wedding tomorrow, so that always make for a fun weekend (time to get some dancin’ shoes on!). Do you guys have any exciting weekend plans?
