Days Like This

Ever have one of those wardrobe days when your outfit just feels… meh? That’s how I feel about this outfit.

What do you do when you find yourself in that situation?

For me, it may have been because it was at the end of a long weekend, or because I just wasn’t in the mood, but I couldn’t figure out how I wanted to style this skirt. It was one of those “I-have-nothing-to-wear” moments… the exact moments I try to avoid while having an intentional wardrobe.

I had gotten this skirt a while back, and liked the idea of a piece so feminine being paired with a casual t-shirt or sweatshirt. I opted for this old denim shirt that I’ve had forever, but I can’t say that I think it was the best choice. It’s alright, don’t get me wrong. But it wasn’t the look I was going for.

How would you style it differently?

I disagree. I really like this skirt paired with the chambray shirt. Like a lot. But this looks more like an Friday office look to me, so I guess nude heels instead of sneaks…?

I think switching out the shoes would make a big difference. Even a pair of pointed toe flats would put it more in the direction I was headed. Sometimes you can’t put your finger on it, but there’s just something that doesn’t feel right.

I LOVE that idea! Had I had them at the time, I definitely would have! I feel like this look is a hodge podge of random pieces. The shoes would help!
