Every woman knows there is no easier ensemble than a day to night summer dress, something comfortable for a full day at the office, but also fun for happy hour or a date night out.
I prefer dresses for work anyway, mostly because I’m usually running out the door while putting on makeup and packing my lunch. An outfit that requires less than 30 seconds to put on is A-okay in my book.
In addition to this adorable T-shirt dress, I’ve listed a few more current day to night summer dresses I’m loving. Scroll down for more of my favorites.

Solid Colors
Solid color dresses with little detail are the easiest to transform. If the dress is simple, you can focus on the accessories to play it up and down, and you can really have a lot of fun here. Do a simple pair of stud earrings and a belted waist for the office, and switch it up with a pair of chandelier earrings or a long lariat necklace for date night. Super easy!

Lace
Lace is an easy choice because it looks dressy on its own. It is the perfect choice for a date night. You can easily swap out a pair of classic pumps for some metallic sandals.

Collars, Beads, and Bows
Dresses with special details like pretty collars, bow details, and beading can make an outfit stand out from the rest, while also making it even easier to transition from day to night. Embellishments take the place of necklaces or earrings, so fewer accessories need to be added to jazz up the look. Just slip off the pointed toe flats and into a pair of strappy sandals and you’re all set.
Here are just a few of my day-to-night dress picks.
Dress: J.Crew Factory Printed Drapey T-shirt Dress (now available in floral); Necklace: J.Crew Factory tassel pendant necklace; Watch: kate spade; bag: Michael Kors via ebay; pumps: kate spade
Bonus points for any dress with pockets. It’s like finding a chupacabra! This dress is great. Simple, easy, but note worthy.
