As much as I love to find high-quality, classic pieces, it is just as rewarding to stumble upon a feminine find that is entirely affordable. I love to scour places like TJ Maxx, H&M, and outlet malls for great deals on pieces that I don’t want to spend a ton of money on. Of course, in most cases, you’ll get what you pay for, but that is just fine for something like a romper that I won’t wear a whole lot and don’t really anticipate it being on trend for several years.
I happened upon this romper as I was picking up some necessities from Target last week. I normally don’t allow myself to walk through the clothing section because I know it’s way too easy to say, “It’s only $10,” and add it to the cart. However, after the holiday weekend last week and about to face another hectic week of work, I gave myself permission to do a walk-through–more or less as a pick-me-up. I kid you not, this romper was the only one on the rack, literally the first item hanging; it was my size and in my color palette. When I say that never happens to me, I mean it; I’m never that lucky. I picked up this romper and a couple of their band tees and tried them on. I was in the mood of wanting every t-shirt I saw, so I had to force myself to put them all back.
This romper though, coming in at $24.99, fit surprisingly well through the rib area, and I thought it would be a nice alternative for something like a bridal shower or wedding, especially with a cardigan over it. Honestly, the leg opening is wide enough that I don’t think you’d even realize it was a romper with the cardigan over top. For that reason, I feel like I could probably even sneak it in as work appropriate.
As an aside, seeing everything start to bloom again after the winter months could not make me happier. How beautiful is the park this time of year? I love all of these flower gardens!
