Tried & True: Classic Button Up Blouse

Do you ever tire of coming up with new and different outfits? As a blogger, sometimes I can fall into this funk where I don’t even care about what’s trending. The only things I want to wear are my tried-and-true favorites, like a classic button up blouse, distressed broken in jeans, and a simple pair of heels. That’s the basis behind today’s outfit post. I had been feeling a little bit overwhelmed by the world of blogging and the idea of constantly keeping up with trends.

My style is pretty simplistic, pretty classic. I don’t consider it overly trendy. Most of the clothes in my closet are ones I’ve had for many years (this blouse and jeans included). But as a blogger, you can feel a lot of pressure to constantly wear “new” clothes, which can be frustrating for someone who works hard to build an intentional wardrobe.

I want to remind you that it’s never out of style to resort back to the simplest and most classic of pieces.

Well-fitting jeans never go out of style–in fact, the more broken in they are, the more I tend to reach for them!

Using accessories to refresh your outfit is an affordable and easy way to keep your outfits current.

White and beige cat-eye style sunglasses have been everywhere this summer, so I added those in with my other favorites as a means of bringing the whole look to today.
