I posted about this pleated leather mini skirt during my fall capsule, but didn’t get as much wear out of it as possible. I’m not sure why because I can’t get enough of it this season. I am loving it with a black turtleneck, or long sleeved tee, and definitely with this bow-tie blouse. The leather paired with pleats is both edgy and feminine, and I love everything about it. It also comes in a midi length, petite and tall sizes, and multiple color options including a red-brown and navy blue. I really think it’s a great piece to add to your wardrobe that is classic yet fun.
I could say the same thing about this bow tie blouse, as it works equally well with a printed pant, pencil skirt, or the A-line style I’m wearing here.
When I’m wearing a black skirt and shoes, as I am here, I tend to favor sheer tights. Opaque tights, while leg lengthening, have a tendency of feeling like too much black. I decided to break up some of the black with gold accessories and this plaid overcoat, which is several years old but still one of my favorite classics.
What do you guys think of this bow tie blouse look? Is it one you would wear? How would you make it your own?
