Borrowed From the Boys

I fell in love with this blouse when my friend Ashley wore it in a workwear inspired day look. It aligns so well with my love of bow-neck blouses, and I wanted to re-style it with a more casual outfit.

I like to play around with classic items by mixing them up with trendier pieces. These gold shoes and distressed boyfriend jeans are oldies but goodies from my closet. To me, it’s a given that this top works perfectly with a pencil skirt for work, or a jumper (similar to this suede dress from last week). It would also be fun to switch out the heels for sneakers or loafers, opting for a completely menswear inspired look.

This blouse (unfortunately sold out, but I’ve linked some of my other favorites below) is one of those fun pieces that you can make overly feminine or totally casual. The best part? All you really need is a piece of 1-inch thick ribbon or fabric and you can add it to any collared blouse.

Have fun with it and make it your own!
