I know it’s only Tuesday, but I’m already thinking about the weekend–how about you?
That said, I’m mixing it up and saving my “night out” look for tomorrow, bringing you the weekend version of this sweet bell-sleeve top a few days early. Aside from loving this top, my photographer Sarah and I were really excited to have a break in the rain on the day we shot these photos. It had been pouring all morning long, and the weather during our previous shoot was in the ballpark of 14 degrees. It was nice to finish up a morning of photos with a little bit of sunshine and a fun, graphic wall. I always appreciate a great wall and there are so many great options around the city!
If you’re not familiar with Pittsburgh, it’s an old steel town, and there are remnants of its glory days in many crevices of the city. I’ve always loved the way they contrast an uber feminine look when shooting my own outfits or those of other bloggers.
Styling for Weekend
Just like in yesterday’s post, I prefer to style a full-volume top like this with a fitted bottom. Doing so provides the necessary balance, and prevents your look from overwhelming you, possibly even making you look a bit frumpy. My weekend outfits are generally pretty minimal, so I opted for only my favorite watch and a go-to crossbody in the way of accessories. A pair of high-waisted skinny jeans and suede booties contribute to my dressed-down, comfortable look.
Up Next: Styling for a Night Out
Stop back again tomorrow to see how I’ve styled this top for it’s third and final look–a night out. Even better, though, I’m teaming up with other fantastic bloggers to share our favorite takes on faux fur. I’m always excited to see how different bloggers can make a trend their own, so I’m excited to see each of the girl’s stylings.
Coming Soon: February Features!
This bell sleeve top was the fourth and final piece of our January features, and I had so much fun creating these looks for you all, that I’m going to continue through February to see how it goes. We’ll close out the week with the introduction of next month’s “Featured Four” and another survey to get your feedback on how you felt about the January closet challenge.
Thank you all so much for following along this month!
