Bell Sleeve Top for a Night Out + A Faux Fur Blogger Link Up

Welcome back, friends! Today is two-fold: the final styling of this bell sleeve top AND the final styling of all four of our January features! This project was a great way to challenge myself to reinvent old pieces, and I hope that you were able to do the same a few times over the last few weeks.

Styling for a Night Out

Don’t forget that you can see all of the January “Featured Four” here, and this bell sleeve top in particular was styled for work and the weekend earlier this week, so be sure to give those a look, too.

In general, and I mentioned this in both of my previous stylings, this bell sleeve top is of the “swing” variety, and therefore has a lot of volume and body. For this reason, I’ve paired it in all three outfits with a very fitted bottom–skinny jeans for weekend, slim ankle pants for work, and now, in faux leather leggings for a night out.

In all cases, you want to make sure that your overall look is balanced–that will create an overall appealing look. I apply this idea all. the. time. I will often wear a full skirt with a fitted black turtleneck, or a pair of skinny jeans with a long or oversized cardigan. Generally, I am not one to pair several voluminous articles together in the same look–though I know a ton of people who can totally rock that–because I prefer to go with a more classic and traditional outfit than some of my more daring friends.

There are plenty of ways you could style this top, in fact, I think it would make an adorable Valentine’s Day date outfit with a pair of strappy heels, statement earrings, a leopard clutch, and (of course) a pretty red lip. (Side note: I gave myself a manicure for the first time in about three weeks and I just feel like a whole new woman! Amazing what 15 minutes of “me time” can do for a girl’s mood, you know?)

Coming up! February Features

Don’t forget to start thinking about what you’d like to see in the February features. I’ll be sending out a survey with Friday’s blog post to get your thoughts, and I cannot wait to read them! You guys gave me such great feedback with the January features, and I just know these will be even better!

Bonus: Blogger Linkup!

At the bottom of this post, you’ll see some amazing bloggers and each of their take on “faux fur”. I love the link up concept as a tool to connect you all with even more amazing bloggers with their own unique styles. My style is (and has always been) classic and simple, and it was so interesting to see how the other girls took one concept and completely made it their own. Today, if you have some extra time (which, in reality, I know is so rare for all of us), click on one of their images below and you may find a new blogger that you absolutely love.

Also, if any of you reading are new to Wellesley & King, then let me say that I am so happy you stopped by to visit. Wellesley & King is all about creating a timeless wardrobe that lasts, with a focus on investing in a few great pieces that are quality and versatile.

Thank you for stopping by, and I’ll be back with the January wrap-up on Friday!
