So I’ve been hunting for well-fitted dress pants that would require little to no alterations. I’m not a stranger to taking my items to a tailor, but I was specifically looking for something that would not force me down that road. I was also being pretty picky on the fabric. I didn’t want something that would easily wrinkle, or was too heavy to wear year-round.

I liked the fit of Ann Taylor’s City trouser as soon as I tried them. The slim leg was very flattering and the petite sizing meant no trip to the tailor. I’ve found that, with my petite frame, the slimmer the leg the better. I tend to look overwhelmed and ‘stumpy’ in a wide leg trouser–making me look much bigger than I really am. I knew they were a good find when Arnie commented on how much he liked the fit.

Overall, very happy with this find. I know the fabric will allow for all season wear, and the flattering fit will make them an easy go-to. Do any of you have some petite-friendly recommendations for well-fitting dress pants? I’d love to hear what else is out there!
