Animal Print and Maroon

This ladylike pencil skirt has been seeing a lot of wear this season. I’m having fun pairing it with different blouses and turtlenecks, but I thought it played particularly nice with this animal print blouse I pulled from my wardrobe archives. Accessories like my favorite Nadri cuff bracelet and ear jackets, a long necklace and a simple watch are complimentary yet subtle. Because this was a look for the office, I avoided anything overly sparkly, like statement necklaces or earrings, and stuck with daintier jewelry.

The warmer days last week warranted bare legs, a welcome change from the many layers I’d been piling on over the previous weeks.

Speaking of warm weather, how nice was this weekend? When warm days pop up in February, I tend to appreciate them much more than during the summer months. After church yesterday, Arnie and I walked to Tazza D’Oro, one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. Being outside in that sunshine is so refreshing, and gives me a newfound energy, which we were both able to turn into some serious productivity. Anyone else get an itch for spring cleaning already?

Whatever you did, I hope you had a great weekend also. You can shop similar pieces for the above outfit below:
