A Sweet Lavender Lace Tank for Summer

It’s hard to believe that summertime is nearing its end–it feels like it’s only just begun–but I’m holding on tights with this head-to-toe summer look.

Deviating from my usually neutral wardrobe palette is uncommon, as you may know. However this tank could not be more darling in this lovely shade of lavender. It screams summertime, and the color is equally flattering on blondes and brunettes (not sure this shade is best suited for my red-headed friends). One criticism I have of this top is that it buttons up the back, which can be tricky for getting on and off. Usually, I see a top like this with faux buttons on the back and a zipper on the side seam instead. I think that likely would have made it a bit more practical overall.

Especially for a petite, these jeans have surpassed my expectations this summer. I’ve worn them several times and have yet to see them show any significant stretch. I have a major pet peeve when jeans stretch after one or two wears, and these are standing up to the challenge. One note, I did size down in these so that could be helping. (I’m wearing a size 24 regular.)

I always feel incredibly basic when wearing these wedges, but they really are incredibly comfortable. And, when you’re short, any added height is welcomed. I prefer these in the neutral tone, versus the cognac which is also very popular. Reason being: that ankle strap is dark enough that it “cuts” my leg at the ankle, making me appear shorter. The flesh-tone blends into the leg and appears more elongating.

You have seen these earrings a few other times this summer. Honestly, these are just fun. I would never wear something like this to work (though if you work in a creative environment, knock yourself out), but they have been a fun little accessory to add to outfits this summer.

This seagrass tote is handmade to order and benefit the Areeya Foundation. From each purchase, a portion of the proceeds are donated to sponsor the education of Thai children in need. Compared to similar totes at larger retailers, the quality of this bag is impeccable. I ordered mine back in the March timeframe, and it was delivered in July. If you’re interested, be sure to join one of the pre-order lists to get in line for the next batch.
