A No Fuss Weekend Outfit

First of all, it’s Friday so let’s take a minute to be thankful for another weekend ahead! Arnie and I are looking forward to some fun events happening around the city–starting with this event at Bakery Square. I really love trying new foods, so a food truck roundup of some of the best restaurants in the city is right up my alley!

I know I’ll be reaching for a no fuss outfit this weekend, and this sweatshirt dress is a prime example of what I have in mind. It’s available in regular, petite and tall and could not be more cozy. Now, it’s still been pretty hot in Pittsburgh (as in 90 degree days), so I think it’s still too warm to break this out just yet BUT it’s going to be on heavy rotation come fall. The extended sizing is really nice; a dress like this would usually be too long and wide for me in regular sizing, but the petite version is perfectly proportioned for my 5’2″ frame. (I also really love this one for you taller gals, and it comes in such a pretty color.) I picked out some of my other favorites for you to shop below.

Other than that, I just threw on my converse ballet sneakers (which are a little more flattering on a shorter leg than the regular Chuck Taylor version due to the low-cut vamp), and this baseball cap to conceal messy weekend hair. This is the extent of the effort I want to put in on the weekend. To me, simple is best.

What do you guys have going on this weekend, anything fun? Like most weekends, I’m sure ours will turn out to be equal parts productive and fun. I’m planning to photograph by shoe cabinet for you guys for next week, so stay tuned for that!

Have a great weekend; I’ll catch you all next week!
