4 Holiday Trends You Can Wear Year After Year

There are several trends that I wear year-after-year during the holidays. Just like any other piece in my wardrobe, these trendy holiday pieces can become staples when you purchase them in classic silhouettes, allowing for lots of run-time now and years down the road.

#1: SEQUINS

The holidays are virtually the only time of year where you can get away with a head-to-toe sequin ensemble so, for heaven’s sake, take advantage of it! I adore touches of sparkle, and nothing feels more festive. If you’re not feeling mass sequins, try a statement earring or necklace to add that extra touch. Whatever you do, just have fun with all of the holiday bling!

#2: [FAUX] FUR

Faux fur accents are a deep love of mine (clearly). I love that they make any outfit look rich and luxurious, and in very small doses. More than that, it’s so easy to find affordable beautiful fur accents, especially this time of year. Find a little scarf or pair of fur accented gloves and you’ll be amazed at how fancy you feel–and who doesn’t want to feel fancy during the holidays?

#3: FESTIVE OUTERWEAR

Tartan plaid will never not represent the holiday season, nor will a pair of classic boots. Bundle up in these two favorites and you’ll find yourself reaching for them for years to come.

#4: HOLIDAY PJ’s

Those of you who read along regularly, knowing that I am convinced I was adopted from the North Pole, and am secretly an elf. I love to cozy up on the couch in holiday pajamas; they’re always so warm for the wintery weather and it just feels nostalgic to wear them throughout the holidays. If Arnie would allow it, I would definitely be the wife who gets matching couple pajamas, but I know he’ll draw the line there. ;)
