I started photographing local bloggers last fall and the work has been unbelievably fulfilling thus far–more so than I ever anticipated. These women are both smart and stylish, each inspiring in her own way, and today I wanted to introduce you to a few of my personal favorites!
Terra / [self-proclaimed] reincarnated fashion blogger
Blog: Love Nothing More
Why You’ll Love Terra
Terra’s style is sexy and chic. She’s one of my absolute favorites to photograph because she is stunning in front of the camera. Each time I photograph her, her confidence and sense of self are tangible, which always comes through in our photos.
Not only is she beautiful, she is absolutely brilliant. Terra is what my Grandma would refer to as “a class act”. As someone navigating through what’s left of my 20s, Terra’s certainty about her personal style and the direction of her blog has inspired me from the moment we met. We share a ‘less is more’ philosophy when it comes to clothes, and investing in the classics appeals to both of us. Her outfits are tailored to perfection, often times consisting of items she’s had for years.
Trust me, one look and you’re going to love her blog as much as I do.
Shea / fashion & beauty vlogger
Channel: Shea Whitney
Why You’ll Love Shea
The first time I met Shea, I felt like we had known each other our whole lives. I sincerely believe that it’s impossible to dislike this girl; she is so down to earth, and I definitely laugh the most with her. She runs an amazing fashion and beauty vlog over on YouTube, and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about after just one video (this one is my favorite).
Video is taking over the interweb and Shea is setting the pace for other bloggers and vloggers entering the scene. Her vlog is in its infancy and already exploding with followers. I’m in awe of her drive, consistency in content, and high-quality videos for someone just starting out. Major high-fives to this girl boss!
Catie / fashion blogger
Blog: The Fem Hem
Why You’ll Love Catie
You might remember Catie from this special Valentine’s Day post and a cameo at the J.Crew Spring Makeover event. She is the absolute sweetest girl you could ever have the pleasure of meeting, and her style is always on point. Catie and I bond over our love for classic and feminine styles, but her knack for incorporating trends and edgy pieces never ceases to amaze me. When I think of Catie, I always think of her as a chameleon. She can go from rocker chic, to 70s inspired, to bohemian, to preppy, without ever missing a beat. And, as you can see below, she nails every look.
She has a knack for incorporating low-end items with higher end pieces, yet always keeps it affordable. Every time we shoot, I’ll ask where something is from and, without fail, some part of the outfit is from Target!
Side note: if any of you are fans of Stitch Fix, she’s also a stylist–request her!
A happy Monday to all of you! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, and are off to a productive start to the work week. Today’s post is a little change of pace from usual posts. I hope you enjoyed “meeting” these ladies as much as I did. Be sure to check out each of their channels and spread the love!
