Welcome to Wellesley & King, a style blog dedicated to style inspiration for real girls with real budgets. If you love clothes, appreciate quality over quantity, and want to maximize a minimal wardrobe, then this blog is a great place for you to get inspired!
Here’s what you’ll find…
TIPS & ORGANIZATION
In the ‘Tips & Organization” category, you will find a library of information with tons of advice, including how to build your wardrobe, what to pack for travel, care and organization of your wardrobe to keep it looking great, and examples of versatile pieces to add to your repertoire.
Here you’ll find my capsule wardrobes, along with my thoughts on what worked for me (and what didn’t), and tips for creating your own capsule wardrobe.
My personal style is a major part of this blog, and I categorized my outfits in multiple ways to help you find exactly the inspiration you’re looking for. You can search by season (fall, winter, spring, or summer), by occasion (weekend, office or evening), or by style (classic, minimal, or feminine).
More about Lauren
I’m Lauren, and I first started this blog as a means of documenting my life after moving to Pittsburgh–a move I made to be closer to my now husband, Arnie (who makes the occasional post debut and is my devoted photographer). Since then, it has evolved into a blog about finding your personal style, and making the most of both your wardrobe and your wallet.
I’ve loved clothes for as long as I can remember, but keeping up with trends can be exhausting and expensive. Instead, I’ve turned my focus to creating a quality and lasting wardrobe, while maintaining a real girl’s budget.
How would I describe my personal style? Minimal, classic and feminine. I draw inspiration from fashion icons like Miroslava Duma, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, the Olsen twins and Kate Middleton. I also admire the fashion senses of notable bloggers like Blaire Eadie, Olivia Palermo, Rach Martino, Krystin Lee, Liz Adams, Mara Ferreira, and Rachel Parcell. You will see these influences throughout my outfit posts, as my style is a mix of feminine, minimalistic, and preppy.
Join me and together we can create a wardrobe to love!
